Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics to understand how you use my blog. It helps me see what’s working (and what’s not!) so I can make Back to the Heart better for you.
Google Analytics collects basic information like:
- How long you spend reading my posts
- Which posts you love most
- What kind of device you’re using
- Where you’re visiting from
Don’t worry – I can’t see any personal details about you. I just get the big picture of how my readers use the site.
Google handles all this information according to their Privacy Policy. If you want ALL the details about how they collect and use data, click that link to read more.
Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links, meaning I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you if you click on a link and buy a product. They will occasionally appear in posts and recipes.
I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.
Email Address
I may collect your email address, but only if you voluntarily provide it. This may occur if you sign up to receive an email newsletter, or enter a promotion. This will add you to my email service provider and I will be able to see your email address. I will not use your email address to contact you for unrelated reasons, and it will not be shared with any third party.
If you wish to unsubscribe from my emails, you can do so at the bottom of any email you receive. Â If you wish to do earlier, just email me at [email protected] and I will personally remove you.

I will attempt to be straightforward and transparent about any information collected on this website any monetary gain to me from anything that is written.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
